Meet Yeasin Sorker

Founder of Mr Kitchen Adviser

Yeasin Sorker in a kitchen holds a plate of colorful vegetables and grilled chicken, wearing an apron with the text "Mr Kitchen Adviser."

Hi there! I’m Yeasin Sorker, the guy behind Mr Kitchen Adviser. I’ve been cooking for my family for 10 years, and let me tell you – I wasn’t always good at it.

My Family Mambers still laughs about the time I tried to make pasta and somehow managed to burn water. Yeah, that actually happened. But those kitchen disasters taught me more than any cookbook ever could.

Now I create recipes that real people can actually make. You know, the kind where you don’t need fifteen specialty ingredients or three hours of prep time. I also test kitchen gadgets because, honestly, half of them are just expensive paperweights.

What I love most is sharing what really works. Not the Instagram-perfect stuff, but the tricks that help you get a decent meal on the table after a long day. Because that’s what cooking should be about – feeding the people you care about without all the stress.

My Journey & Background

Cooking became my thing when I was about 12 years old. My mom worked late shifts, so someone had to figure out dinner for my younger siblings. Let’s just say we ate a lot of burnt grilled cheese those first few months.

But you know what? Each disaster taught me something new. I started paying attention to heat levels, timing, and why some things worked while others didn’t. My grandmother noticed my interest and began showing me her old family recipes – the kind passed down through stories, not measurements.

Fast forward to today, and I’ve tested hundreds of kitchen gadgets, tweaked countless recipes, and learned that fancy doesn’t always mean better. I’ve cooked for picky eaters, busy parents, and college students living on ramen budgets. Each experience shaped how I approach food.

What really drives me now is helping people who feel intimidated by cooking. Because honestly? If the kid who once set off the smoke alarm making toast can learn to cook well, anyone can. My goal is sharing that confidence with you.

My Expertise & Experience

After 10 years of cooking almost daily, I’ve gotten pretty good at figuring out what actually works in a real kitchen. Not the kind you see on cooking shows – I’m talking about the average kitchen where counter space is limited and you’re making dinner while helping kids with homework.

Here’s what I focus on:

  • Creating recipes that don’t require a trip to three different stores
  • Testing kitchen gadgets until they either prove their worth or get donated
  • Finding shortcuts that don’t sacrifice taste (because who has time for 3-hour meals on a Tuesday?)

I’ve put everything from $20 blenders to fancy air fryers through their paces. My poor kitchen counter has seen more appliances than a Williams Sonoma warehouse. But that’s how I can tell you which ones are worth your money and which ones will just collect dust.

My recipes and tips have been shared on Pinterest/Instagram/other platforms, but honestly? The real test is whether my neighbor still asks for my lasagna recipe. Spoiler alert: she does.

Everything I recommend comes from actual use, not just reading spec sheets online.

What I Write About on Mr Kitchen Adviser

So what exactly will you find when you browse around here? Let me break it down for you:

  • Easy recipes – I’m talking about meals you can actually make on a weeknight. No fancy techniques or ingredients you can’t pronounce.
  • Honest appliance reviews – I buy these gadgets with my own money, use them for weeks, then tell you if they’re worth it or just hype.
  • Food prep tricks – Because nobody wants to spend Sunday chopping vegetables for three hours (been there, done that).
  • Kitchen tips that work – The kind of advice that makes you think “why didn’t I know this sooner?”

Here’s my philosophy: cooking should make your life better, not more complicated. Sure, there are nights when takeout wins – and that’s totally fine. But when you do cook at home, it shouldn’t feel like climbing Mount Everest.

Every recipe I share has been tested in my own kitchen first. If it doesn’t pass the “would I make this again?” test, it doesn’t make it to the blog.

My Mission & Philosophy

Look, I’m not here to turn you into the next Gordon Ramsay. My mission is way simpler than that – I want to show you that good cooking doesn’t need to be rocket science.

Whether you’re trying to get dinner on the table after a crazy day at work or wondering if that fancy blender is actually worth the hype, I’ve got your back. Everything I share comes from my own kitchen experiments, successes, and yes – plenty of failures too.

Here’s what I promise you: I’ll never tell you to buy something just because a company sent it to me for free. If I recommend a gadget, it’s because I’ve used it enough to know it’s actually helpful. Same goes for recipes – if it takes too long or uses weird ingredients, I won’t pretend it’s “easy.”

Transparency matters to me. When something doesn’t work out, I’ll tell you that too. Because honestly? That’s probably more helpful than pretending everything’s perfect all the time.

How I Review Products (Transparency)

First, I actually use everything I review. That blender? I’ve made smoothies, soups, and probably a few questionable protein shake experiments with it. The air fryer? It’s lived on my counter for weeks, not just a quick test run.

I look at the stuff that really matters – does it work like they say it does? Will it break after a month? Is it actually easier than doing things the old way? And yeah, I’ll tell you when something’s overpriced or just plain annoying to clean.

Here’s the deal with affiliate links – sometimes I include them because, well, running a website costs money. But I always tell you when they’re there. No sneaky business. If I think something’s garbage, I’m not going to recommend it just to make a few bucks.

My goal is simple: give you the real story so you don’t waste money on kitchen gadgets that’ll end up in your junk drawer.
