Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
Wash and scrub the potatoes thoroughly. Leave the skin on.
Slice each potato into ¼-inch thick rounds, not cutting all the way through.
Place the sliced potatoes in a baking dish lined with foil.
In a bowl, mix melted butter with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
Brush the seasoned butter generously over and between potato slices.
Cover the dish with foil and bake for 35 minutes.
Remove foil, sprinkle cheddar cheese and bacon bits over potatoes.
Return to oven uncovered and bake another 10–15 minutes, or until golden.
Garnish with chopped green onions. Serve hot with sour cream on the side.
