Every Ninja on the market crisps well, so choose on size, basket style and features.
Match Capacity to Your Household Size
As a rule, 2 to 4 quarts feeds one or two people, about 6 quarts feeds four, and 8 to 10 quarts suits crowds.
Single Basket vs. DualZone vs. DoubleStack vs. FlexBasket
A single basket with the fan close to the food browns faster and more evenly than deep dual or stacked baskets, which turn out paler fries.
DualZone models give each basket its own heater and fan, DoubleStack stacks those baskets to save width, and FlexBasket splits one wide basket in two.
Cooking Functions, Max Crisp, and Temperature Range
Max Crisp is Ninja's high-heat setting for frozen foods, and only some models carry it. Cook chicken to 165F per the USDA safe minimum internal temperatures.
Nonstick vs. Glass Baskets
Nonstick baskets stay slicker if you hand wash them and use silicone-tipped tongs. PTFE-type coatings belong to the PFAS family, and the FDA guidance on PFAS in food-contact coatings explains which uses are authorized. Glass avoids coatings, at the cost of weight.
Countertop Footprint and Noise
Published dimensions vary with whether the handle is counted, so allow an extra inch or two, since DualZone bodies need width and the DoubleStack needs height. For noise, the Crispi is very quiet and the Pro XL loud for its size.
