Preheating and kernel dosage tips

Fill to the internal fill line, about 4 ounces of kernels. A light load lets unpopped kernels fly out at startup; a full load pops nearly everything. Never run it empty; it can damage the plastic.

Using the butter melter

Air-popped corn is dry, and salt will not stick without a little butter or oil added after. The melter runs slow, so we melt butter in the microwave.

Cleaning and storage best practices

Unplug before cleaning and let the spout and butter cup cool; they run hot enough for a potholder. Wipe the base and cover with a damp cloth.
